She was preceded in death by her parents husband Gray Hopper, sisters Narvell Pounds, Lila Riddick, Gladys DeHoff and Mary Ruth Carter, brothers Cecil Wingfield, Clarence Wingfield, Hauzie Wingfield, and Gene Wingfield. She attended Gadsden High School where she played basketball and graduated as Salutatorian Class of 1953. Jean was born in Gadsden, TN to the late William Hopper and Dovie Sharp Hopper. She was born on Main Gurdon, AR to Jesse and Ollie Mae Jones Wingfield. Jean, age 86, passed away at Bailey Park Community Living Center in Humboldt on Sunday, Octosurrounded by family. Hopper, a business owner and operator of Hopper's Laundry in McKenzie for 31 years and Baptist in faith, died Thursday, Jat her residence.
